In the 1970's Film poster integrated the text much more efficiently then in previous decades. Instead of just being slapped in big block letters the text was more carefully considered and In many cased The font was customised to represent the film and it's genre.
You can see the old 'Film poster collage' style still evident in posters for the films 'Bananas', Game of death and Alice doesn't live here anymore. You can also the more graphic based and typically psychedelic style posters you would expect from the 1970's, for example 'Woodstock', 'Alex' and clockwork orange'.
