RESEARCH: FILM POSTERS: 1900-1950

This post looks at a variation of posters from 1900 through to the early 1950's. Although mainly film posters I have managed to find a few posters for stage productions. Some of these designs work so well in their simplicity, whilst others rely on detailed illustration and well crafted lettering to achieve their desired result. The Seven Samurai poster is a good example of a simplistic poster while the 'Richard the Third' is an impressively detailed design.
