RESEARCH: FILM POSTERS: BLACK AND WHITE POSTERS

The absence of colour can be an effective tool and make a strong design a bit more distinguished. Also, a splash of colour in an otherwise black and white design can be very effective. Although not a poster, the artwork of Frank Millers 'Sin City' was very effective due to it's clever use of colour.
